Cairo Metro Line 3 Phase 3 & 4
In the Cairo Metro Underground project, specifically for Line 3, Phase 4, Vinci served as both contractor and consultant, facing considerable challenges, particularly with the initial waterproofing material. To address these issues, the project team opted for Xypex Concentrate, a move that significantly improved the waterproofing of stations and water tanks within the project. A total of 12 tons of Xypex Concentrate was utilized, demonstrating its effectiveness in a demanding environment.
Brentwood Equalization Facility WTP
The Brentwood Equalization Facility in Brentwood, Tennessee, used precast structures in its wastewater management system, integrating Xypex Admix C-500NF Red to combat the harsh chemical environment typical of wastewater treatment. Selected for its durability, chemical resistance, and waterproofing qualities, Xypex Admix C-500NF Red was added to the precast concrete mix during batching.
Valore Antoniades Compound
The Valore Antioniades project, located in Alexandria, Egypt and developed by Valore Real Estate Investment Company, used Xypex products for waterproofing against high hydrostatic pressure of up to 4 meters. Spanning around 22,000 square meters, the development includes seven blocks and 20 residential towers.
Carty Generation Station
The Carty Generation Station project marks a significant breakthrough in the power and utilities industry, focusing on sustainable energy through the transition from coal to natural gas power generation. Located in Boardman, Oregon, within the wind-swept Columbia Gorge, the project faced unique challenges due to the high winds and temperature extremes characteristic of the area.
Drahonice Reservoir
The objective of the Drahonice Reservoir project was to effectively seal construction joints within a newly constructed concrete water reservoir. Completed in 1994 in Drahonice, Czech Republic, the project encompassed two reservoirs, each with a capacity of 5000 m3. The project used Xypex Concentrate to address the sealing needs. Applying Xypex products effectively provided a comprehensive seal at construction joints, permanently preventing leaks.
